*DISCLAIMER*
This post is going to be very New York Fashion Week heavy. If you aren't into that kind of thing, then I'm not really sure what you're doing here to be honest. Go back to whatever you were watching on Netflix. Gone? Ok good, back to #NYFW2015.
Now, because I'm not a fashion critic, what I am about to say about these looks I have selected isn't going to be particularly eloquent or articulate. But it will be full of excitement and enthusiasm.
First up:
Lacoste
As a huge fan of layering and draping this collection had me at the first look. There is a relaxed yet put together look about it. The mix between how sleek and tailored the pieces are and the fabrics used excite me greatly. I would wear so many of these pieces.
Jason Wu
The greens and the reds. The leather. The shapes. Sleek. Crisp. Modern. Yes.
Public School
I am a huge lover of coats and jackets. And Public School had a lot to chose from. And they did not disappoint. I particularly love the volume used, and the fact that they were not afraid of over layering. The looks were perfectly edited, not too much, not too little. My particular favourite is the long black coat with the string tie.
Marchesa
Now it wouldn't be a post about Fashion Week without mentioning Marchesa. So many exquisite gowns to talk about. I found it so difficult to chose just four. From a styling perspective it's so much fun to look at a collection and be able think in your head who you could see wearing the pieces. Be prepared to see every actress/model/singer walking down the red carpet this award season in a Marchesa S/S 2015 dress. The Emmy's are just around the corner...
Rachel Zoe
I have been a fan of Rachel Zoe for many years and if there one thing she knows, it's style. This collection has the perfect balance of simplicity and perfectly intricate details. These two white pieces were by far my favourites. White has been a huge trend this season and I am more than ok with it.
Dion Lee
And following on from the white trend. Dion Lee. A collection filled with architectural lines and perfectly muted tones. All the pieces were still chic even though many included some interesting and unusual shapes.
I would also like to give a quick nod to some of my other favourites from this week. There are many many more but to include them would make this blog post into more of a dissertation and I have already been through the hell of writing one of those before so here are just a few.
